Funny tea moment, etc.

This morning I met my friend Kelly, her husband Jamie and their toddler son, all visiting from Atlanta, at IHOP for breakfast. I was about to ask our server for milk for my tea when I noticed those little single-serving tubs of creamer on the table and asked Jamie to pass them instead. "Would you rather have milk?" he asked, creamer in hand. I hesitated--I didn't want to be a bother--and finally said yes, I would. He laughed. "Good, because I'm English, and if I'd let you put creamer in your tea instead of milk the Queen would have come and taken my passport!" Hee!

On Kelly's recommendation I had the chocolate chip pancakes. YUM! I smeared the whipped cream and melty-warm chocolate chips all over the pancakes and didn't even bother with syrup.

Jamie is a distributor for XanGo, a mangosteen juice blend with various possible health benefits. I got a trial bottle and it's really tasty, a little tart and very fresh-fruity, not at all sugary like most fruit juices we get at the store and have to water down.

food, friends
