Happy Christmakwanzakah Solstice!

Dec 25, 2009 00:02

So, yeah.  Been quite awhile.  But that's a side effect of erratic work scheduling, I suppose.  I ought to make it my resolution in the upcoming year to post more.  However, I wanted to be sure to wish everyone a happy holiday, whatever that holiday might be for you.

Also, share some funny.  In Star Command, an upcoming sci-fi comedy series my friends & I are working on with Head Games Entertainment, the holiday is "Crimmus."  It's the same Christmas we all know, just PC'd up a bit.  Ensign Buckley, the well-meaning, good-hearted, but hopelessly dorky pilot, tries to send a card home to Mom.  It goes downhill from there.  Other shows have the best and the brightest of their universes.  Star Command's Starship Lee got what was left.

From the official release:

Merry "Crimmus" From Star Command!
Even in the 27th century the desire to be with loved ones, sharing joy and cheer around the holidays, is common. Ensign Buckley records a holiday greeting to his beloved mother every year...and every year it doesn't turn out quite the way he hoped. Join him as he tries to keep the holiday spirit alive, which isn't easy onboard the worst ship in the fleet.

Warning: "Star Command" contains naughty language and suggestive humor. Please keep out of reach of children...unless you want to warp their fragile little minds...in that case, have at it :)

Feel free to forward this to any and all who enjoy geeky goofy humor!

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!

Yes, I'm so shamelessly promoting this because I want it to get all the attention possible. :)  We're going to be reshooting the original pilot soon with the higher production values the team has put together so a pitch can be made.

Hope you all have a fantastic holiday of choice - don't let your families drive ya too crazy!

zomg, star command, holidays, so you wanna make a movie
