Bella was surprisingly the HBIC of this chapter. Although I'm sure it won't last long.

"Do you always offer self-defense lessons to girls you've injured?" I muttered.

To my surprise, Sam flinched visibly at my words. For a moment he looked much younger -- but the hard and bitter mask returned in an instant.

Geez. Felt bad for Sam there.

Great chapter!

Yeah, Sam. You give Jake back, you... you... YOU BIG MEANIE. Oh lol Bella, you're so weird and not always in the good way. I love how you make her sound like her shelf just doesn't look right anymore without Jacob perched on the end, which is exactly the weird sort of petulant scope SMeyers usually gives her.

Ugh, Bella's such a fruit.

LOL, yeah, I'm not sure Bella knew quite how to put it...

I'm probably going to reference "You give Jacob back!" a lot now.

Pretty sure I require a meme.

1) So, you re-read New Moon, Eclipse and Midnight Sun? Wow. How's your IQ doing? I read all of those one after the other (along with 'Breaking Hymen' obviously) and mine dropped by a full 56 points :).

2) I smirked at your explanation as to how you can't be Meyer.

3) kerame totally answered my Sam/Jacob imprinting question in the previous chapter. Give her a cookie.

4) I actually like your Bella. Mainly because she has lines like: "Now leave, or I'll wake up my father and he'll shoot you. And when you're dead I'll kick your body." which are so funny I almost wee a little when I read them.

5) "I don't know what your little cult is up to, but you give Jacob back," I demanded, trying to call on some air of authority or intimidation. "You give him back to me right now." Hmm. Imprinting is clearly all one way, huh? (sarcasm hand is raised)

6) ""Do you always offer self-defense lessons to girls you've injured?" I muttered. To my surprise, Sam flinched visibly at my words. For a moment he looked much younger -- but the hard and bitter ( ... )

1) A thorough reread of New Moon and a spot check of Eclipse, yes, but I didn't need to go back to Midnight Sun to remember that "furious kitten" line. Its obnoxious condescension has burned itself into my brain.

3) kerame gets cookies.

4) You know, there really are occasional moments in the series -- maybe six or seven pages of them total in all four books -- where it looks like it's possible that one day in the fullness of time Bella could maybe develop into the sort of character that could potentially sometimes say or think things like this.

5) *whistles*

7) Oops. Fierceness and intelligence in one chapter. Did I overdo it?

8) Actually, not quite -- the *next* chapter is the beach conversation. In New Moon, *this* chapter is the bedroom visit from Jacob wherein Bella Doesn't Get It, and then a lot of introspection wherein Bella Figures It Out and oh my God It's All About Meeeeee!!! So this is the substitute for that one. And I'm brushing regularly, no worries.

I'd ask for cocktails instead, but I think you'll need all of them for yourself if you're going to fix Meyer ;)

Low body temp...hmmm..Bella seems to have quite the addictive personality when it comes to supes.

I can share cocktails. If I drank as much as I wanted to during this I'd never survive.

And Bella's got some need issues, can't argue there...

I totally agree with sleepy_sheep683 (:

"Don't push him." I jumped as I heard Edward's velvety voice in my ear, like liquid gold. As always, it filled the wounds in my chest -- well, one of them, anyway -- with delicious pleasure. "Let him calm down."

I waited quietly. I would do anything for that voice.

I cringed, then realized how much your Bella is in character, sighed, and continued reading.

<333 I can't wait for more.

Yep, that last line was a direct lift. Sorry, guys.

Glad you're liking, in spite of the cringing ;)

Wow, I seriously NEED to re-read New Moon. I should have known something so cringe worthy would be from SMeyer herself.
