Thanks :) At least she got *one* night. And I imagine Charlie didn't much like it when Jacob grabbed Bella away...

Okay, holy fuck, I just read through all of "The Movement of the Earth" and what's been written here in one sitting - Jesus, woman, you've got me hooked.

Your writing is amazing. The dialogue is snappy, the pacing is perfect, and the emotion - the emotion. These are Twilight characters in a (mostly) canon-compliant 'verse, and you are making me care about them. I love that you've given Bella a spine and that you're showing how creepy Edward's actions really are. And your Jacob. I love your Jacob. Finally, I can't even express how disturbingly perfect it is that the vampires' scent works like a drug.

You > SMeyer. Truth.

Thanks :D (I admit to being particularly gratified by the pacing approval, given how it nearly killed me in the last fic). And I swear to God, it doesn't take anything to show how creepy Edward is except to have Bella exhibit just the slightest bit of character growth. You don't have to change anything from canon, he just *is* that fucked up.

You > SMeyer. Truth.

*snorgles*

(By the way, if you're new to my stuff, I recommend going to the front page of my LJ and checking out the master fic list. I say this because if you like the stuff you listed here you'd probably like The Definition of Want, which is finished and doesn't require waiting for new chapters.)

I had lots of issues with the series, but biggest by far was the stalking. Edward is a total fucking creep, and it's played off as romantic. I don't think SMeyer even gets how disturbing her main love interest is, and that's a scary thought in and of itself.

On a happier note, I spent pretty much the whole day yesterday (yay for snow days!) reading your fic. I tore through everything you've written, and it was all fantastic :D Sadly, that means I am in fact waiting for a new chapter.

*pouts*

Oh! Have you seen any of the "Edward Cullen is a psychopath" articles? They're funny, in a disturbing sort of way. Here and here are two of my favorites.

I could write reams on the psychological puzzle that is Stephenie Meyer. Except I don't want to fall down the rabbit hole again. Once was plenty. *shudder*

Glad to hear you liked my stuff :D Well done to get through it all in one day! This has been an alarmingly prolific year.

I had not seen those articles before, but they are AWESOME and will be exceedingly useful to me in arguments in the future. Thanks for linking them, they are getting majorly bookmarked.

AAAH, ACK ACK ACK, EDWARD FUCKING CULLEN.

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Damnit. I was like, slently screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!". I'm not kidding. And Charlie's reaction was realistic, thankyouverymuch.

The girls' night out was fun, the movie watching :')

But then Edward went and screwed it up, damnit. I really was like "Dude, what the fucking hell are you doing in her house? Seriously, what the fuck?" And then he went protective and she went "awwww, I want to kiss him" and I went "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU".

Sorry, ranting here, but you know I love this fic ;)

No, I figured if there weren't strong emotions after this chapter then I'd *really* screwed the pooch. (I never use that expression, but somehow it felt right here. Hmm.)

I figure Charlie didn't actually reach for his gun, which was about the best we could hope for. (In fact, in spite of Bella's constant worries, the likelihood of Charlie ever *actually* reaching for his gun is pretty small. After all, he is an adult and a police officer and knows better than to just shoot teenagers. But then again, no one's behaving particularly rationally at the moment or viewing things through a clear eye.)

I suppose we should just be happy that Edward wasn't literally waiting *in* the house.

Screwed teh pooch? Never used that expresion either :')

I really hope that Charlie has the right mind of an adult police officer and knows that he doesn't have to shoot when there's some creep in his house (how creepy and weird the creep may be, the law is the law and we don't want Charlie to get arrested, do we?)

I suppose we can only be happy once Edward books himself a nice trip to fucking Italy.

SO. MUCH. RAGE.

HOW DARE EDWARD DO THAT THAT STUPID ASSHOLE GOD I HATE HIM

OK. Trying to calm down.

I love how you highlight the ridiculousness of Edward thinking that Jacob is more dangerous to her than he is! His entire existence is centered around drinking blood, while Jacob's is about PROTECTING PEOPLE FROM HIS KIND.

You are so fabulous. You are amazing. I squealed when this update came up on my F-list. <3

Ooh! Strong emotion! Win!

Edward thinks Bella's *truck* is more dangerous to her than he is. Or, rather, he acknowledges how dangerous he is and then doesn't do anything about it. Oh, Edward, you fucked up little sparklepire.

Glad you squealed :D

Wow. I've just passed the major part of the day devouring "The Movement of the Earth" and "The Fire of the Sun". And, really, I don't even like Twilight. Except, it all makes so much sense here. Of course Bella is drawn by Edward 'cause of some kind of predator/prey psychic thing. Of 'course vampires works like that. And the imprinting. And Sam and Emily and Leah back-story. Of 'course the pack works like that...
So, I'm just dropping a line to say thank you, I'm enjoying this so very much!

It's okay. Neither do I. (No, I don't understand why I'm here either.)

I'm glad to hear it all made sense to you :D That's awesome, 'cause sister, canon don't make a lick of sense. Very happy to hear you're enjoying!

(As a side note, if you're new to my stuff, you might want to go to the front page of my LJ and check out the master fic list. The Definition of Want is another completed WIP that wound up being pretty popular. I recommend it to pass time if you think you'll be sticking around for the next chapter ;] )

Oh, yes. There's little bad canon that good fanfic can't cure. That's one of the reason why I like fanfic so much. ♥
Also, I forgot to mention how much I loved the scene in which Bella literally sets Victoria on fire! And then they call her "Buffy"! Boy, that's how you do it: she got to beat the enemy, not to run away scared. Go, Bella!

Good fanfic is a general cure-all, I think. Also, glad you liked the setting on fire; it was my carrot towards the end of MotE ("Okay, if I just write two more chapters I'll get to set Victoria on fire...")
