This feels a little "The Emperor Has No Clothes"-esque to me somehow. Now I'm trying to remember all of the feedback I left you and wondering if I ever gave a compliment that proved my ignorance in some way. You seem to be saying here that you think your story is still severely deficient because of the writing style despite the definite improvements you made in development, plot, and theme, and so anytime I thought something was great I suppose I was just proving my lack of literary knowledge, LOL. That's okay, though. I still maintain that this fic was engaging and great fun all around :)

As for the lack of sequel, you already know my standing on that. I really loved the way you ended it so bittersweetly. Some of my favorite books and stories are the ones that leave things up to the imagination instead of wrapping everything up in a neat little package. For one, those endings are more intriguing, haunting, and for another, that allows fans with differing opinions to be able to make the rest up as they please.

Breaking Dawn is the perfect example of an author taking things one book too far and ruining all that had come before for some of us. Long before Meyer I was disappointed by the author of a book called "The Bronze Horseman" for writing two sequels that really only served to detract from any magic I felt the first book had anyway. In short, I love a good open ending, and so while I didn't know for sure if you were going to go that route, I was happy that you did.

Lastly, enjoy your newfound freedom, lady =) You deserve it. Time to kick back and relax and read a really great book that someone else had to toil over and be the one to enjoy instead of suffer, I say!

Yeah, I wear the cone of shame for this. If it makes you feel any better, I put up an addendum at the end of the post. I'm kinda going to crawl away now.

I've been hanging onto The Hunger Games for this very event :)

I just read those books! I bought the first to read and find out what all the hooplah was about (and was doubtful, because the whole post-apocalyptic thing is not my usual genre of choice), but I ended up reading all three books in 2 days!!

I kinda look forward to hearing your thoughts (if you post them?)

Enjoy!

*claps hands over ears* Don't tell me! No spoilers!

I probably won't post them, but you never know, they might turn up in various comment threads.
