New journal...new fun times.

Why did I decide to get my third livejournal in five years? I think I need a fresh start, something that will satisfy my current need to fuckin' testify.

Last night, Barrios and I spun a set at Sound + Vision and initial problems with one of the decks kinda fucked it up for us...also, my total lack of DJ savvy is pretty obvious. What I lacked in skill, I totally acheived in classy, classy vinyl. We made people dance...sober people, drunk people, squares, hitters...enough of 'em to count. Turning people on is such a high.

Am I turning into a hippie? Some weird, drunk, post-punk hippie?

Euna came up last night, too, and seeing her is better than a big bag of Jesus. Erotic City is the best song ever written. Kerry is winning. When he officially declares victory, I'm climbing onto my roof with Sanyo and rocking Prince while throwing water balloons full of boric acid and pudding onto my neighbors' "I <3 Bush" mobile.

Did I mention that I really hate coming into work drunk? I was still really wasted when I stumbled in at 6:30. At least Rayanne had a pot brownie waiting for me. Another thing I really hate (since I'm still really repetitive and inarticulate from last night) is when people at work taunt me for being young and "weird." How junior high is that?

I am not weird by any true definition of the word, I'm just not as overtly complacent as they are. How they feel that kind of allegiance to a huge, boring corporation is totally beyond me. Isn't it like human nature or something to want to screw over the boss? Sometimes, I think some of these people would murder their parents to please a figure of very dubious authority. In college, I started to doubt the validity of commodification and panopticism, but the corporate world is the ultimate testing ground. Foucault would shit himself if he saw the type of implicit surveillance under which I work.

Time to head on out to my favorite place in the world to pick up some more bubble gum eyeballs, liquid eyeliner, and foam legs.
