For the last three or four days (this will be important information later!) I've been noticing these bus ads up all over Ottawa:

It's a radio station! Clearly they are saying the problem is Ottawa needs more jive. Right?

As much as I have tried to eliminate linguistic pet peeves from my perspectives on the world, I still grit my teeth when I see "jive" used for "jibe."

I don't think I've ever really heard someone use the word "jive" unless it was coupled with the word "turkey" or "hand."

Oh, come on, I bet you've never even heard jive turkey, not for real, in real conversation. Poor jive, such a dead word. No wonder it is usurping jibe's place in the world!

I've never heard it used un-ironically, if that's what you mean.
