Let's see. What's new with me since Cedar Point? I swear to God...you feel like once you're done with the season, your life will start. But it's been quite the opposite. I have been job searching, and once the trip to Vegas ends, I will certainly be in frantic mode.

I thought I had this really great job, as a fancy advertising executive. I went in for an interview, they made everything seem really great and told me I would start on Monday. So I drove all the way up to Livonia to start on Monday morning. They wanted to train me that day, so they said I would be going on business calls, learning what the job would really be about. Originally, I had thought this seemed really great. The business itself was in a great, downtown location, all swanky-like. But when it got right down to it, I ended up selling community coupon books door-to-door in subdivisons. Back and forth from Saline, to Ann Arbor, to Deroit, to Livonia, back to Ann Arbor, back to Detroit...all day. The hours would have been 11-9, with an hour drive there and an hour back. And my job? Illegal solicitation. Sweet. Needless to say, when they invited me back on Tuesday, I swiftly declined and got the eff out. So the hunt continues.

Sidenote: I HATE the plastic Burger King man, and now he's a video game.

Chris Bell and I put up our Christmas tree late last night, and it is glorious. Baby Reindeer Face is here, too. Today, it was 65 degrees outside. I was on the balcony in capris and a tank top...with the Christmas tree looking all sad and snow-deprived on the inside. It made it feel a lot less like Christmas. Not that I'm complaining...65 degrees was 900 versions of happiness. Speaking of THAT, has anyone seen the preview for that movie...the Pursuit of Happyness? I screamed in the theater when it came on. That's just the grammar Nazi living inside me, I guess.

8 days from today, it will be time for the vacation of the year. I am so very excited I could burst. I went to Sandusky this week to watch movies with Joe, and he told me that we were going to California on a side roadtrip. Good to know. I should know by now, living with boys...that they tend to leave important details out. I am definitely not upset, because I've always wanted to go to California. Good old Peggy even called and got us into the Knott's park for free...so that's cool. Hector...are we any closer to being able to see you now? Let me know. I love this trip already!

I think that's all I have for now. There Kurtis, I have updated...especially for you. Smile!
