This just made my day.

I just received an amusing flame from some baka on fanfic.net:

dis is dum. periud. i hat tamara pirce. i wunt her to di. i hat u. by

Note, first of all, that this flame was made two days ago; I have not logged on to ffn for two years. The last review I received was on Christmas of 2003. If I had not forgotten to turn off the email updates, I would never have seen this flame. What is the point of flaming someone who will likely never see it anyway?

Second, I do not know what that language is, but it's certainly not English. Nor is it Norwegian, Japanese, or Spanish. Generally, if you're going to flame someone, you should do it in a language they will understand. Also, crap-speak is less acceptable when used to accuse someone who uses real English than when used to accuse someone who also utilises crap-speak.

Third, hating Tamora Pierce is all very well and good; why did you read the story in the first place? All my fanfics on ffn are Tamora Pierce fics. There is no chance you could have stumbled upon my lone Tammy fic by accident, and I have no reason to credit a flame which concerns itself solely with the content of the fandom and not in the least with the fanfic.

Fourth, posting such an embarrassing remark serves only for ridicule and the personal amusement of the fanfic author.

Do the bakas realise their stupidity or not?

I would like to say this was a joke, but unfortunately, I have seen enough stupid behaviour on ffn to be reasonably certain this person is not joking.

Then again, I could be pleasantly surprised. It could be just a joke and the baka is actually quite smart.

It's a rather stupid joke, though, especially as it merely amuses me. Shall I exercise my power to delete flames? Nah, let everyone see this kid's idiocy, intentional or not.
