Fork in my eye (I mean, the road)

I always knew the insiderhosting account which I haven't paid for in 3+ years would expire one day, taking with it all of my recordings from this LJ. And now, it seem as though nature has taken its course.

I'm now at an impasse. Do I secure some new hosting space and resume journaling and posting all the sundry recordings that I still produce, in spite of being a grown-up with a real job now? The conventional wisdom is that people in my line of work should refrain from maintaining any kind of a public face outside of the station, but this is a brave new world, and it's just a damn LJ.

I could of course go friends-only, but nobody likes those kids.

Maybe I should take this opportunity to move to MySpace. It just seems that in doing so, I'd be tacitly announcing intentions to scam on high school girls.

What to do? Is this a thing I'm going to take with me into bona fide married and professional life? I already seem to have left it behind for like the past 6 months, but I can't say my life is necessarily better for it. If anything, I'm more isolated from my non-work friends than ever, and I keep recording hilarious Thin Lizzy covers that no one hears.

And by the way, despite it being two months till my wedding, I still have no idea how to spell marraige. See?
