I thought this was really great. I love nate and rory together. although it seems like they are going a bit fast. awaiting the rory freak out. I think it's about time lorelai started thinking more of her mother and maybe their relationship can begin to heal with the addition of little nicky. and with him she can make up for her not being their when rory was little. I'm sure emily is going to spoil him. great first chapter. I'm hooked. :)

I AM known to write material that leads the reader to assumption. So, after the teaser... the reader can only assume that Rory and Nate have done the deed. Or not? I guess we'll find out.

Though, even if they did move fast - I think the build up over the past few episodes would warrant it? Thoughts?

but that build up has only been a few days for nate, more for rory since she's known she's has more feelings for him, than him for her. I don't think nate has any ulterior motive, I think since it took him a while to realize that he wanted rory that his feelings are true. She did jump into bed with a married guy so who knows. maybe she's more her mother's daughter than we think. thanks for the quick feedback. :)

Interested in reading your thoughts after segments two and three...

I don't know, Rory and Nate just feel right to me, right in-DEED!

"A Room for a Pony" - I hope that has something to do with Emily spoiling her grandson, haha.

About you not writing a season nine - sad but entirely understandable. After all, you practically wrote an entire scripted season all on your own and that has to be extremely draining and consuming. More importantly, Gilmore Girls ending was always going to be sad for me - I just didn't expect to be so disappointed and angry by the way it actually did end. But you managed to bring the series and its characters to a satisfying, proper and well deserved ending that served both as closure and wonderful entertainment in true Gilmore style! That's all I asked and expected of the real show, but it was YOU who accomplished it, who did the DEED, lol. Hats off and thank you!

Here, here! Well said, gjoni.

The only thing, and there wasn't anything you could do about that Audi, was we didn't actully get to view this on TV. Don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't help but visualize and "hear" everything that you wrote. This S8 has been classic GG and the final season we should have gotten. Occassionally I get sad and angry thinking about how it all ended up, but this S8 written by you Audi, has saved the show for me. I may or may not go back and watch old episodes, but the sadness I'll feel after reading your last ep. will be the natural sadness I would have felt at the ending of a show I dearly loved. It won't be the sadness I felt at the actual ending. Such a godawful waste and mess that was made of 1 & 1/2 seasons.

So once again, I THANK YOU for this S8.

Thank you, dragonfly! You know how I feel about the show... but writing this season has definitely been cathartic, and I'm glad you're satisfied with the closure it brings.

I also try to visualize it and I'll just imagine that this is the real S8 and somehow I just can't watch it in Germany thus having to read the script online. :)
So big thanks from me as well.

Great teaser! It's all so sweet and new, and yet very comfortable at the same time. Reminds me a little of Luke and Lorelai in S5. I guess the assumption would have to be that Nate and Rory have "done the deed", because if they haven't it's a whole lotta creepiness that she's sitting in his bedroom watching him sleep.

Leave it to you to see the 'creepiness' - then again, we don't know yet if they have done the "DEED" (as gjoni puts it)...

On the other hand, even if they 'indeed did the DEED' - sitting in his bedroom watching him sleeping is still sort of creepy, no?

Yes, that would be creepy too, although slightly less so I think. If they'd done the deed, she'd at least be sleeping in the same room, therefore you could insert your own scenario where she'd been getting dressed and paused to watch him snore. If the deed hasn't been done, tiptoeing into his bedroom to watch him sleep seems creepier to me. Then again, maybe it's just really sweet. lol

After reading segment two/three, do you still think it's creepy? lol

northtoalaska, your last line made me snort iced tea out my nose. lol

Very cute teaser! Whether they did "the deed" or not, Rory seems much more comfortable and natural than in any other relationship she's ever had. On that one I *am* certain. Nate & Rory are "in a relationship". lol

Okay, bring on that Queen of Spoilers-Emily Gilmore! Poor Lorelai. She actually voices, or mumbles, she's looking forward to FND because Emily has been trying. Just like Charlie Brown, every time she gets her hopes up in that regard, she gets a face full of grass. Will this time be different?? I guess we'll have to keep reading! lol

Bring on my second favorite Danes!

821 A Room for a Pony segment 3 lorlukealways July 18 2008, 16:58:31 UTC
I love how lorelai acknowledged her happiness at emily wanting to babysit for them. She never really brought up how emily didn't want to hold him. I hope we revisit that portion. I think her reasoning could be her fear of not wanting to get close to have lorelai leave or not let her see the baby like she did with rory. I think april getting shanghied into doing to camp was hilarious. It's about time she got interested in boys. that's going to be very cute. I hope luke is going to be a more hands on dad and lorelai doesn't get too worn out. Michel was hilarious with the baby. update soon :)

Thanks for your review on LJ. Not reviewing on FF.net anymore? lol

As for Emily not holding Nicholas in the previous episode, there was a long discussion about it in the previous entry (8.20)... some insightful comments. Hope you check it out.
