I guess I agree with you, though a question arises: How many people posit relativity in religion but not in philosophy? It seems to me almost all theological relativists are likewise philosophical relativists. In other words, your point seems true, though superfluous.
On a vaguely related note, have you read "Choruses from The Rock" by T.S. Eliot? It's one of my favorite poems. He might touch on your theme at a few points.
