New baby boy!!
Sage finally had the baby!
After all kinds of craziness Sage finally had her baby.
I drove to Massachusetts on a Monday night. Sage was going to be induced Tuesday morning around 11am. So I Got there around midnight Proly, in order to be around in the morning to drive her the hour to the hospital. Sage was having contractions, which she usually had, but these were her stronger ones. So I layed down for a few hours, didn't sleep really, cos I was listening to her, to make sure she was ok.
Her water broke around 4:30. We drove to the hospital. We were pulled over! The cop lectured us about calling an ambulance instead of driving her ourselves. He was kind of rude, but in the end he didn't give me a ticket ( I was going 77-78 in a 65).
Sage had a natural water birth. It was amazing. AMAZING. Made me cry, but by the time I was crying I was a bit dehydrated so there weren't tears. She had Two Nurses, Two midwives and two dulas annd two friends. She was very strong and brave. It was impressive. Clifton Cian Boyd (Cian for short ... Kee-an) was born at 9:46am. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz. He was 19 and 3/4 inches long and had a 13.5 inch head. sweet sweet boy. Opened his eyes immediately.
I'm so glad I got to be there. It was amazing. outside of a couple of the hospital employees homophobia (the father wasn't there so some of the staff appeared to think we were together and not really approve- it proly didn't help that I am referred to as the baby's Papa.) the experience was very good.
I didn't sleep though. I couldn't. I had time. But every time Sage or the baby made a noise, which was every minute, I was awake, checking on them. so by mid morning on Wednesday when I had only slept a few hours total since monday morning, I drove home to sleep. That didn't work entirlely either. After about three hours I woke in a panic wondering where Sage and the baby were. Then I went back to sleep by 2 am Thursday morning.
Better now.
Miss her and the baby though :(
O. I'm adding photos under a cut. They are cute. You should all look and talk about how adorable my baby boy is. The father got there after I left on Wednesday. Which was very sad, but I had to leave when I did. I was dying without sleep. So, I will post pictures of him and the baby when Sage sends them to me for editing.
