Hello everyone!!
Happy Valentine's Day!
This day has a lot of funny memories for me over the past years...
The only real "Valentine i have ever had was back in 8th grade (i know, still should not count!) My first and only boyfriend (which really should not count because well it shouldn't), Jay, went to highschool and i was still in jr. high, so hea gave my valentine's day gift to a friend of mine to give to me at school. As she pulled it out of the bag, i tried to hide my disappointment. Before my eyes was the UGLIEST white elephant... ((WHO GIVES AN ELEPHANT FOR VALENTINE'S DAY!!??)) uggh! it was not good... haha i was so disappointed. ((Don't get me wrong, i'm not picky, actually i love stuffed animals and think that spending insane amounts of $$ is stinkin crazy - especially when you are in 8th grade!... but this was just hideous!!)) so that's really all i've known for Valentine's Day stuff... Oh wait, there was that one year my good friend Abbie got me a Ken doll to be my valentine, because of my lack of a guy. (thanks Abs!)don't worry everyone else... i left him at home!
and this year, i am in Masters - so we can't date. Which is a good thing, i think. But i had a bit of a sad attitude about this whole Valentine's thing... until last night...
You can't find God, when you aren't searching for Him
It's tough to hear His voice, when you aren't really listening
He can't fix something in you, if you won't admit you are broken
It's hard following His will for your life, when you are too busy chasing your own
