Oh, I would hate to see Suki dead. She's such an interesting character; she and Toph even share characteristics. They're both so independent, strong-willed, and, of course, they both have a soft spot for Sokka, even if Suki is more forward about her feelings. But I would really hate to see Suki gone (especially because of what it would do to Sokka -- just think of what he did when Azula even mentioned it!). That's why I'm so excited to see The Boiling Rock -- we have to get some answers!

If Suki is alive, and if she does join the Gaang, the subtle Tokka/Sukka confrontation is what I'm most looking forward to. ^^ I want Suki to be her forceful self, Toph to get jealous, and Sokka to get confused. Maybe he'll discuss it with Suki and she'll point out Toph's rather obvious feelings? Or maybe Sokka will confront her himself and that'll lead to a confession? Oh the possibilities!

If Sokka did see signs that Toph might like him, I think he brushed them off. Maybe he doesn't want to jeopardize their friendship or his relationship with Suki, so he's doing the easy thing and ignoring it? Or perhaps he honestly thought he was seeing things? Or maybe he's just dense. ^^

Oh, I read Release! It was really excellent and the Tokka/Sukka conflict was so beautifully spot-on. Really good. =D
