Right. Posting.
January was awesome. There was some fun, some work. All in all it was great. I'm sad it's over.
Highlights: New Year's Eve concert with two big NZ bands (Shapeshifter and Fat Freddy's Drop); mini random roadtrip up the west coast, including black water rafting in the Waitomo glow worm caves; working for three and half weeks doing recepetion at the national office of a big nonprofit in NZ; spending quality time with friends in Wellington; going the Wellington Cup horse races. So much more detail, but I'm short on time.
This weekend was the rugby Sevens - seven-a-side matches with seven minutes halves. Basically a great big part - 30,000 people come from all over the country. Nearly everyone wears costumes, it's awesome. I wasn't going to go, but then I decided I wanted to see it. I'm SO glad I went - it was so amazingly awesome good fun! Yay!
I'm leaving tonight to do more travel around the North Island. Bascially I'm visiting a lot of beaches. Travelin by bus for this trip. Then I'll be back in Wellington for one last weekend. Back in SF on the 19th of February. Getting everything ready to go back home has been stressful, but it's mostly done. Glad I'm going to see more of the country, but not looking forward to coming back and having to say goodbye to Wellington.
