Wow, complete strangers that you're having no interactions with? You, my friend, are an exception. I guess there must be a relationship to amount of scowl or something.

Hasn't happened to me - but I make a serious effort to keep a pleasant expression on my face most of the time. I feel so sorry for people with a continual scowl. They look so miserable.

I hadn't read anything from this particular point of view in a while ... and my views have changed a lot since I last did. I find myself wanting to unpack a lot of thoughts ... and knowing that a whole potentially productive day will be gone if I do so.

Unless you're seen in public with them and they're young - then everyone[*] will whisper behind your back that you're a pedophile.

([*] This is the same 'everyone' that tell Audrey she should smile, which is to say, not remotely everyone, but enough people that it's almost guaranteed that someone will be doing it in any reasonably sized group)
