[FANFIC] #002 DRABBLES - SAY THAT YOU WON'T MISS ME.
We should be sitting in that particular restaurant we always wanted to visit. We should be holding our hands together while listening to the piece that was played by the violin. We should be dining happily and laugh ecstatically over silly things. We should watch the sleet descending from the vast-drab sky that covers us with invisible stars. We should. It was… Christmas, after all.
Instead, I wondered why we were planting ourselves on that couch. My grip squeezed your four fingers so tightly; your hands were so gelid. - As if zero amount of blood flowing though your veins, as if your heart stopped functioning.
“I’m going to the States.”
But, why? Despite my desperations for the reason, I stayed silent.
“My parents said immigration would be nice.”
Silence.
“Well… This can be quite a long story and I don’t wish to get you drunk with those but… Hyukkie…” You paused. “Say that you won’t miss me.”
But, I will. I always do.
“Sorry.” You rubbed your thumb against my knuckles.
“I’ll miss you.” I looked down with my lips bitten. “I already do.”
“You can’t miss me.”
“It’s not forever right?”
“It’s forever.”
“No… way…” Words uttered unclearly from my mouth. I was getting all choked up with that abhorrent lump in my throat. I didn’t want to cry, I didn’t wish to.
“Sorry.”
“But it’s Christmas.”
“Sorry.”
“What am I supposed to do now? I can’t do without you.”
“Sorry.”
“Stop repeating!”
“So- rry…”
Tears water my eyes. I looked up, hoping that those fluids would flow back in again. But it came out that the tears were marking its way down to my ears, and then slowly travelling through my jaw line. You stood up when I had no vitality to hold you back. You’re always… so sly.
“I’m going.”
I sniffed and blinked once.
“Don’t miss me.”
I will, I definitely will.
You stepped a feet out of the house and looked back once more.
“I… love you.” You looked down and moved on to your destination.
“Donghae, I love you too.” I dropped my head on the arm-rest and shut my eyes. I’m already… missing you.
