"No man is worth your tears unless they are tears of joy." I need to remember that, and to be more decisive and bold and straightforward. Oh who am I kidding? I'm weak. I've had a bad day until about a half hour ago. I ran into Barb, Laurie's mom at Linen's N' Things. I was just going because they have like, everything on sale. And bam! I see her, am pretty sure it's her, and she sees me and says hi. So we walked around and caught up and talked and shared in our sad amazement that it has been 6 months since we lost Laurie, 6 months with out her. We are still standing, and even a little straighter than before, but we still can't be erect because our hearts are so heavy. But her hugs, smile and kind words made my day brighten so much and made me think of the good things I do have going for me.

So August didn't really end up that great. With the news of Cindy, and the hurricane and the Cubs going downhill, it's not that good. I did get to go see Wicked with Jess, Dan, Allie, Amy and Jen. That was a blast, the show was great and dinner at the Grand Luxe, was AMAZING! Allie, genius choice! The show is SOOOOO good!! I recommend it to everyone. Then on the 13th I went to the Cubs/Cards game. Talk about exciting! That is, when the rain stopped. I went with Brett, took him for his birthday, and even though it was after it, because it was on July 20th, I gave his his gift before his brothers! Ha I'm cooler!! It was a great day, even though we lost.

Things have been pretty quiet since. Just working and hanging out with friends, saw Jonathan and Tim and it has been good. Had it's good moments. This summer was good, not the best one of my life, but it had some AMAZING highlights. Now I must go live a fun Labor Day weekend. One night of bondfire delinquency down, who knows what's to come tonite?
