I just had to share this. It's a summary of a story at ffnet in the Star Trek: Voyager section:
Fourteen year old B'Elanna Torres is an aspiring equestrian. One day the mare B'Elanna is leasing has her first foal, but the foal has a genetic disorder, and it's owner wants to put him down. Better summary inside.
