Julien spent the early evening organizing his workroom and unpacking the last of their boxes. Julien and Eden had been entirely domestic for the past week, and other than meeting with Logan to discuss the events in the city during their absence, neither had been out of the other's sight for longer than a few moments. Tonight, however, he could feel the weight of reality crushing back in. Julien had business with Reggie, and it was a matter that was going to require some finesse. No one would enjoy hearing that their potential Childe hadn't exactly followed in the Discipline skills of their Domitor. Ryan had exhibited an almost otherworldly potential in Presence, and what was stranger still was that the boy didn't even know what he had done. It had been natural and wholly unconscious, and this was why Julien needed to speak with Reggie sooner rather than later.
He showered and fixed his hair, straightening it and combing until it was perfectly sleek and shiny, and then added a bit of kohl to his eyes - just a touch, and what did it matter anyway? Reggie could hardly see him. To supplement, he dabbed a tiny bit of cologne on the pulse points of his wrists and throat, making sure that the scent would remain faint even to a vampire's keen sense of smell. Julien dressed in a fitted, untucked black button-down, then pulled a thin, charcoal grey v-neck over it and completed the outfit with a pair of black jeans. He checked himself over quickly, grabbed his keys and then spent several long moments kissing his husband goodbye.
On the drive over, Julien rehearsed what he would say to Reggie. It was imperative that he tread delicately, that he not make it seem like he was getting in the middle of the business between Domitor and ghoul; Julien didn't want that anyway, but he had to do what was best for the pack and also for those that he loved.
He parked in the lot adjacent to Reggie's building, arming the Jaguar's alarm, and then he strode to the front door and knocked softly, waiting. Despite his trepidations, he was more than looking forward to seeing Reggie again.
