and nary a bill in sight

Which is probably a good thing, because I suspect that the new design of the ATM at my bank may have led me to screw up my deposit. Exactly how stupid will I feel if I stuck the envelope in the wrong depository? Really, really, really stupid. Really. Though it is also kind of funny, since I finally got the checks I've been waiting for and now am afraid to write any, just in case.

But, goodies in the mail!

thepouncer, I got the discs! Jericho, yay! (And I caught an episode last week that made me want to see it from start to finish much more, so I'm extra happy.) Thank you. As soon as I've consumed them this weekend, I'll probably be itching to discuss.

Plus, heavy package from drvsilla. Contents intended to make me heavier too.

drvsilla, did I tell you I love maps? Because I do! Besides, the book is utterly gorgeous and without a doubt will be plundered for details I'll translate into fic. Not to mention that now I'll have a guide to all the tourist attractions to check out when the zombie apocalypse comes around again.

The bound, tangible, hold-it-in-my-hands version of The Promise of Sorrow is wonderful. I opened it and reread this line: 'Let them go and led them away, from agreeing with the outrage to being yellow in its face, maybe both.' then had to reread it completely. Wonderful and deft.

Happiness is pretty simple for me today. If only it always was, but I take what I can get.
