...officially, I have four days until my wedding day. I'm getting pretty excited; I'm ready for the day to be here so I can freeze time, enjoy family harmony (instead of disharmony) for once, and be with the ones I love. Sadly I don't have that power...
I realize more and more everyday just how wonderful God is. Michael and I went to a place called the Ave Marie Grotto in Cullman Saturday. Basically, it's a grotto with the artistic replicas of basilicas, famous worldy buildings and structures, etc. that were constructed out of various rocks, marbles, glass jars (basically anything the guy could get his hands on) by a monk. I forget his name...Joseph something... but his works are amazing. For those of you going to the wedding, you should definately try and make it up a little earlier if possible to see this it. Anyway, I went to this place, which is on the campus of the Catholic St. Bernard Preparatory School. Now I'm not sure at what some of the things were that I saw in the gift shop, but it was cool. They had prayer beads, holy water, a replica of the pope's outfit (no idea what you call it...), Blessed Virgin statues. SO much stuff.
There was an older couple at the grotto, with the man in a wheelchair. The entrance is a pretty steep slope, and this poor guy was struggling with all his might to get up this hill. I was just about to ask if he wanted some help when he looked over at us and said, "Excuse me, but could I please bother you to push me up this hill?" Michael was behind him instantly, and the next thing I knew he was carrying on a conversation with the people. They were from Ohio, and happened to see the sign from the interstate and stopped on a whim.
This is why I love him so much.
And this, my friends, is probably the last post I'll make as Miss Brandon Hill. The next time I update I'll be Mrs. Michael Lee Lowe. <3
