Monday- Justin had eye surgery. He slept most of the day and put in eye drops every ten minutes. He has to wear sunglasses all the time or the light hurts his eyes. He looks like a blues brother.
Wednesday- I had to drive down to Vernal. Usually Justin drives long distance, but his vision is too blurry from surgery. But I did this time. Justin slept with his jacket over his head to keep out the light. We stopped by my parents and met the puppy. Dorian ran around like a crazy person. Justin had an alergic reaction. When we got to his mother's house, he took a benedryl and slept the rest of the day. For Dinner, Justin's brother had a mini Thanksgiving because it was their turn to go to his wife's side and he wanted to see Justin. Yummy potatoes. Dorian wouldn't eat anything. He was too busy running around and playing with the kid's toys. Since Beau and Alysha were in the camper, Justin was on a mattress in the food storage room and Dorian and I shared a cot in the den. He stole my pillow and took up the entire bed. I went to sleep with Justin after Dorian was out enough to not realize I had left.
Thursday- Justin stayed in the dark den most the morning because his eyes were really hurting. His mother had to give him a loretab. He slept more and was a bit loopy. We went to thanksgiving lunch at his grandmother's. Some people weren't there. Potatoes were good and so was the pumpkin pie. Justin's aunt said that watching Dorian terrorize the world reminds her of the times she used to babysit Justin. Justin ate and then went into another room to rest. Around three, we left and I drove us back home. Justin, Dorian and Misty slept most the way home. When we got home, Justin called his boss to tell him that he still couldn't see well enough to go to work tomorrow. Justin is getting really frustrated. He can't watch Tv or read or play computer because everything is so blurry. He's pretty bored.
Thursday night- I decided to brave black friday for some Christmas presents for Dorian. Walmart's black friday started at 10pm. I was worried about getting a parking spot, so I went an hour and a half early. I found a parking spot fine and was surprised that it wasn't too busy. There were palets full of sale items and employees guarding the palets. You weren't allowed to put anything in your cart until 10pm. I browsed and decided what was most important. I had three items in mind. One, this toy learning laptop; Two, Dry-erase Doodle table with chairs; and three, battleship for Justin and me. Like most everyone else, I picked the thing I wanted most(the laptop) and stood next to it for an hour. I got to know several other ladies interested in the same thing. By ten minutes 'til, there were six or eight ladies crowded around trying to get at the same palet as me. No big deal. There had to be sixty of them. There was one false start, and the manager had to come down the aisle and tell everyone to put everything back. As soon as it started, I got stuck. I had Dorian's laptop but I couldn't get anywhere. One of the ladies I had been talking to handed me battleship from behind her. It was nice of her. I had to ssslllooowwwlllyyy make my way to the doodle table. After I got all the toys we wanted on sale, I made my way to electronics. The entire electronics section was like a mosh pit. But I found out that the movies were on palets next to the groceries. So I hurried over to see what was available. A lot of the shelves had been cleared out. I was able to snag a couple movies I liked, but I'm sure anything really new or really good was long gone before I got there. Checking out was a long wait. I got to my car around eleven. I drove over to the Best Buy, figuring I would just wait until midnight. The line to get into the Best Buy was crazy. It was like getting tickets to see Taylor Swift or something. I decided to skip Best Buy.
I am tired. Had a long day.
