oh, wow, update time
man, i don't even know what has been going on in my world.
most of my classes were cancelled two weeks ago because of weather of doom in dc (as in, it rained one day, and had the CHANCE of raining the next day). same can be said for my classes last week. as a result, i had to spend my weekend doing makeup classes. so, instead of having friday and saturday off, like sometimes happens, i worked bl 10-4, then taught 5-8. i went out with schmitty to compton's top 3 party at science club. he'd reserved the top floor for everyone, but it was so last minute so few people had the opportunity to get out. it was fun, tho. a few drunks passing through, some yuppies VERY obviously doing coke in the bathroom (*sigh*), but other than that fun times.
saturday was more teaching, then pita's birthday party, which was ALSO on the top floor of science club. we contemplated going to a party at 2321 (MXVVI, i think? pretentious either way), but didn't want to pay $30 in cover charges, so to heck with it. snuggles ensued at home afterwards, altho there may have been a little snarkyness before we got there.
sunday i was working from noon to 9pm, which is just...ugh. luckily i got home to a full house. we'd cancelled sunday night film club and instead were hosting an oscar watching party. i met one of schmitty's exes, who didn't seem happy to meet me, but whatevs. i was also met with tasty chinese food bought with me in mind. it was a wonderful evening :)
monday i worked ALL day at the bar, as i do every monday. the difference is, monday night was a really good night, busy, great customers, all that. and at 9pm, we had to kick all the customers out (i had over half the bar filled) to take photos for the website. i know it's good for the bar in general, which is good for me, but i wouldn't have minded an extra hundred bucks on monday.
anyway, last sat classes were tuesday and wednesday, which is today, so i better get my ass moving and taking care of that.
in other news, i LOVE my blackjack. love love love it. like no one's business.
also, it looks like jenjen is getting a divorce. *sigh* i'm looking into plane tickets to chicago for the weekend.
