the times, they are a-changing

so, angel got married this weekend. it was kinda awesome.
my week didn't get much better or worse after the last post. schmitty pissed me off wednesday night, it didn't get resolved thursday. we spent the entire car drive up to watertown not talking (mostly me being pissy and upset and him not knowing what to do, so not doing anything) i got about 4 hours sleep total, between blood work and doctors appointments. then we had to do some shopping, meet up with jenjen for a reminiscent denny's dinner, and then drinks with the wedding party at the sacketts brew pub. we left around midnight and drove up to abay to stay with jenjen at her jacuzzi suite in the riveredge. it would have been excellent (a bubble bath in the jacuzzi with a backrub from schmitty while chatting with jenjen) if there hadn't been crazy next door neighbors who kept making weird ass noises and calling the front desk on us saying WE were making too much noise.
the next morning jenjen and i ran a bunch of errands in the city and got everything done before having to head back to get ready. a shower, a shave, straightened hair and a sexy dress later, and we were at the delightfully short wedding, and on our way to the free bar at the reception.
in classic angel form, everything was very laid back and festive. a hand picked music list, general wedding funtimes, and a bunch of wedding party shots later, and jenjen was out or the count in the bathroom, i was holding back her hair, and schmitty was causing ruckusness with his rochester friends downstairs.
getting ready the next morning was not the easiest thing, but we managed to be ready for breakfast by 10am, which angel's dad generously paid for. there were a few things i wanted to get done, but instead i passed right the fuck out from total lack of sleep, and emotional exhaustion from various convo's with schmitty that had been put off for days by then. we watched a bit of tlc while waiting for daddy to get home - who, by the way, did an amazing job repairing my car. new radiator and muffler, and he put in a little brace to support the broken part of the fender. i'd like to get everything fixed, but i really can't afford it, and i don't even know how worthhwhile it would be to make any superficial repairs like that.
whatevs.
there was a pretty intense convo on the car ride down, too. basically, i let schmitty know how much it bugs me to have an apt we're never at, but i'm still throwing money at. i told him that when i leave for beijing, i'm buying a one way ticket, because i'm not going to come back to america unless there's something worth coming back for. i'm not saying i need to get a proposal. i'm just saying there needs to be a bigger show of commitment than my 16 yr old boyfriend gave me. i need to know that i don't have an emotional moneypit to match my financial one.
so. that's where things stand right now. gotta run to work.
