boston
so, i met with fiona on thursday, after the modeling and the freaking out about the doctors.
i told her i was leaving, and she had no problem with me leaving. so that's at least one job i have.
afterwards i went to the bar to say goodbye to eddie and let jo know. turns out eddie is staying for the rest of the month, too (yay!), but michelle is leaving as well. and andy left. so we need to do some new hiring!
jo was a bit bummed, but she's going to try to give me as much work as possible this month, and then...well...i'll visit a lot, i guess. she's giong to beijing next summer, so i'm sure i'll stay in contact with her.
anyway, i was freaking out about the whole doctor thing, and the whole "secretary telling me something serious is wrong, but not telling me what it is, and making me wait 24 hrs for the doc to tell me instead, so i can just pace around my house freaking out" thing. i called jenjen and she helped calm me down, and jenna and i were in near constant phone conversations. i sent schmitty a freaked out email, and then called jenna again, and she suggested i go up to boston, so at least i won't be drinking and freaking alone. and i thought "well, heck. i've got 30 bucks. why not?", so i hopped on the lucky star and 4 hours later i was in boston.
rett and i spent friday morning drinking. we played my fav summer game, in which you start drinking The MINUTE you wake up, and don't stop till you pass out. we drank a case of beer, a bottle of wine, played guitar hero, watched tv and generally got sloppy while jenna was at work. jenna got back at 3, and we made a liquor store run, where we bought three bottle of soju, a bottle of rum, a bunch of liquer nips for one time mixed drinks, and mixers. then the drinking began.
and somewhere in there i made waffles and jenna made chicken alfredo.
it was pretty awesome.
at one point jenna and rett needed breathing room, so jenna and i tipsily made our way down to tjmaxx, where we tried on every ugly dress wew could find, and i then i grabbed every piece of ugly clothing and hats and wore them all around the store at the same time.
we went back an hour or so later, and after some makey-upy, the kids were happy again.
we made the wiki entry for the sea bear, and then played kings till we got too drunk to notice what we were doing, and then we played never ever until it was time for me to pass out (about 3am, a solid 16 hours of drinking!)
and somehow, i have no headache today. it's amazing.

now i have to get ready to go back to the city. i have to work tonite at the bar (yay! a saturday bartending! woot!), and heloise is playing, so i think it's going to be great.
OH! also, i got really frustrated with dr. s yesterday and called up freaking out, and they put her on the phone and she told me the trouble was i have really large lymph nodes, which might be problematic in many ways, but at least it's not thyroid cancer. so, i'm not dying or any more broken than i ever thought i was.
and, schmitty got me a futon for dc. and angel called, so maybe that's getting better.
