ok, update
not a lot of time, because i'm at work
in short: thursday afternoon, after my last day of work at starbucks, i got an email from eulynn telling me the classes i was scheduled to teach for july had been switched, and in effect i had No Job for the month of july. i still have the bar, but i don't actually count that money as income, and i had been planning on the extra cash from the tpr for europe.
well, i had a bit of a breakdown, especially because i was in the middle of trying to cancel jenna's grad party, start stage managing the play and organize myself, myra and schmitty to get to toledo for the weekend.
after some drama and snarkiness (both on my part), we three got to toledo with success and joy. we THEN went to CEDAR POINT!!! WOOHOO!!! i rode the dragster. boy howdy was it awesome.
after was cj's birthday party, which is the first successful party he's had in 5 years, so that was good. especially the cj and myra not killing each other part.
then liz and nat got married. in the most beautiful and meticulously detailed wedding i have ever witnessed. beautiful. i cannot express how great it was, but i'll start by saying the ceremony was held in the toledo museum of art, the glass nat stomped was turned into an original artwork that was blown by glassworkers during the reception for everyone to see, there was a free top shelf bar all night, and the wedding cake was (i've been told) and artists rendition of the chuppa (did i spell that right?)
it was amazing. i almost cried so many times. it is very surreal, to say the very very least.
then 2 car accidents and one traffic jam later we had gotten both myra and schmitty home.
i got the email today from eulynn telling me she had one class for me to teach. it's a two week intensive, and half the work i had planned on having, but 1/2 is better than none.
so, i am feeling better. i have a job, and i need to make many many photocopies in the next 24 hours.
