wow, am i getting old
party at myra's yesterday. not a ton of people, but the people who were there were quality. whiskey, coke, doritos, new york themed music and the kitties safely locked in myra's room.
and i passed out at 2am. just got up, walked into myra's room, lay down and passed out while the party was still going outside. i'm so lame!
woke up slow this morning, snuggled with the pretty and stuff, watched phil be a goof (i like knowing phil well enough that he can be a goof around me) and packed my stuff up. came home, watched tv for an hour or two, then hiked off to work.
joel wa a super hard ass about closing, and we had to take care of EVERY LITTLE DETAIL, but i guess that's your job when you're the manager. autumn came back from vacation, and it was nice working with her again. the new girl, sy, was closing tonite and i tried to help initiate her as best i could - which is hard because i'm still learning. i think the kid grant got fired. he was supposed to close, but joel was frustrated with him all night and then he left early.
dunno. we'll see. all i know is he's been there longer than me, and i've been teaching him. lame.
bought my ticket to chicago. round trip for $142, which was WAY better than i thought it would be. no routing thru dc on my way home, but such is life. schmitty and i will figure it out. his schedule is a bit more flexible than mine.
i have officially decided international aubbi day on friday the 11th will be in central park. it would be nice to barbecue, but that will be more hassle than fun. just bring foods and lay in the sun. plus, it's easier on me, and that's the point. and it doesn't make myra have to organize everything like last year. just folks on a blanket till the brecht/kushner starts :)
i like wireless. i lik being able to sit on the couch and watch the madness of adult swim while puppy snuggles at my feet. i like that i hear salsa whenever i walk out my door. i like that i walk down 42nd street and theatre row whenever i go to or from work. i like my life. i get sad sometimes and stuff, but between plans for coney island, and chinatown shopping, lulu and flick, trips to dc and snuggling with the pretty....i'm happy :)
