but i REALLY support this:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12319737/ the only thing i can think of doing is boycotting mcd's, pepsi/coke drinks, nestle chocolate, and other little things like that. i doubt anyone will notice the lack of my 2kuai when i don't buy myself an icecream. especially when it comes from china, and no where vaugely related to mexico.
but, i think it's a great idea.
i'll admitt there's a small part of me that thinks it's kinda strange that there would be that much power over america coming from mexico, and another part of me thinks its sad that the main supporters of the immigrants would be hurt by the boycott (the article seems on point there) - but, in the end, i realize that our country has ALWAYS been highly influenced one group of immigrants or another, be it english, french, german, irish, african (less of the immigrant variety there, but a huge cultural force in our history) or mexican. and as for the companies, well, maybe they'll see how dependent they are and push even Harder to help the immigrants. they must realize turning on them for a day of boycotting would solve nothing.
in other news, i did nothing yesterday. rene made me french toast for breakfast, then we watched cowboy bebop, then we went for a walk in the sun, and then he tried to teach me to cook. the first batch of alfredo sauce came out as a milkbread dough, but the second one was tastey. i cut the veggies, and didn't cut my fingers off, and rene's clever timer oven prevented me from burning the kitchen down.
then i went to schillers to get trashed with inga and sarah and inga's friend thor. it was successful.
today, i taught julia, got on every wrong bus possible adn took forever getting home, then laid around watching tv and reading books. i haven't thought of the play for 4 days. my brain needed it. it starts all again tomorrow, so i enjoyed it while i had it.
i should have gone to the gym, but WHEN do i have one day off, let alone two? it was like a vacation. it was beautiful :)
stomach has been driving me insane. what's up with that stomach?
