Humbling experience
Today on my way back from work I had a humbling experience. I ride my bike to and from work everyday unless I am working till late at night. ON my way back I decided I needed to hurry up across the intersection right in front of the Library in Mission. Well my bike didn’t want to …we got in a fight…and it gave out. When I went to stand up on my bike to try to sprint (with my bike). …Across the intersection…it decided it didn’t like that….so down Aubrey went….thier was a car right behind me…I knew my life wasn’t in dangerous….but the lady behind me had the funniest face or concern I have seen in a while. I hit the pavement taking a chunk of my elbow with it…my bike petal had a nice little bite at the back of my leg (4 nice one inch cuts). The pavement decided my elbow wasn’t enough…so it had a little of my right hip…and tried at my left thigh…but just left it red and a little irritated…I think overall for me….it was my humbling experience of the day. L Thankfully I will most likely never see that woman again…and maybe if I do…she won’t recognize me…cause I was biking with my nice handy visor and sunglasses! I sadly went home after examining the parts of my body that were screaming of pain. Peroxide, Band-Aids, and triple antibiotic cream were my friend today. So besides that….work went well today. After a week of working concession and putting a pause to my tanning for a while…I am back out in the sun life guarding with 70 spf sunscreen! Anybody else have an interesting day?
