i...i don't even know where to begin.
i mean, so much has happened to me in th past week. it's hard just to comprehend it all. let's start at the begining shall we? on monday i was layed-off from the Edmond Sun. no warning, just called me in early (at 5:30 A.M.) & there was the publisher, the Dick-face Todd, & my supervisor Lance. thankfully Lance looked as suprised as i did. the meeting went for about ten minuets. that short. the basis was that they felt it would just be easier to let me got than to keep me on. for a few reasons a) Todd seemed to keep having problems with me, b)they (the publisher & Todd) felt like i wasn't doing my job with the best of my ablities, & to seal the deal c) that they felt that they could not, finacially, keep on two poeple doing my job. & since the night guy is Lance's son-in-law i got the ax. yeah sue=re i was unhappy with this job & the hours blew monkey balls, but the pay was steady. & i knew what i was doing.at least i still have my job at Hot Topic. yeah u have been working less & Less but! we just got a new manager! his name is Topher & he's AWESOME! since the old store manager hated every fiber of my being i think my hours will pick up now. :) & i qualified for unemployment! $189 a WEEK, up to $4915! :O so that raised my spirits, slightly. :D
now, Harry Potter. :D friday noght was the best night i had had in a very long time. it didn't start out to good though. my sister bailed on me so i went to the Midnight Ball by myself. the only Potter fan by themselves. ever poeple who COSPLAYED had more friends than me. D: & do you know how geeky/obssessed you have to be to stump the guy reading off trivia? the qustion was something like 'What was the name of the hippogriff that traveled with Siris Black?' i raised my hand & ssked 'do you mean before or after his "exciction"?' he just kinda looked at me. the he said 'ummm....do you know both?' 'yep! he ws Buckbeak, then Witherwings!' XD i got a stuffed bear. i also won a poster of the book cover, a glow stick, a tassle keychain that is red & gold with a pendant that says 07/21/07, & a wand that lights up. :D then at about 11:55 p.m. they stared to raffel off the first five places in line.I GOT THIRD PLACE!! XDDDDDDD i even did a little 'eeek! that's me!!' ^////^ but! i did make some friends there. so yay for me! i got home & stared reading. i ws crying by page 16. DX & in the middle or so of chapter four i had to stop to calm down/get more tissues. -_-;
& i just realised, i have been following Harry since seventh grade. i was about 12~13. i'm 20 now. that's almost half my life. i don't care if i get made fun of. it means a lot to me. i know it shouldn't & it sounds irrational but i can't help it! in middle school & freshman year Harry, Ron, & Hermione were the only friends i had. ....that has to be that saddest sentece i have ever thought/written. i'm going go now. before everyone de-friends me for the sheer geekyness of that.
oh! but wait! i made a new icon for my self a week ago. XD
