special edition: post-fall-break post
today is the first day that really *feels* like a monday that i’ve had in over a month. this is because the recent “fall break” was the first time i’ve experienced anything like a two-day weekend in over a month. wooooo! i want another.
went to kennywood (= local theme park) friday night-it’d been a long time since i’d experienced one of those, too. i was feeling really anxious while standing in line for the roller coasters, but by the end of the night i was back to holding my arms in the air as we went down the drops, the way i used to. and stephen was able to go with me-he almost went to friday-night magic, but yay, he came along instead. i don’t get to see him much, and it’s rarer still to get to spend time together outside of the apartment, so that was fantastic.
have dyed my hair a deep red now (which is to say, stephen dyed my hair a deep red =P ). it’s true-the red dye is way more forgiving than the purple. it hardly gets on anything, and the occasional smudges that do show up are light and pretty easy to remove. i liked the look of my purple better, but red is still cool, and it’s a relief not to have to deal with dark violet stains propagating across skin, clothing, furniture, etc. my fingers are crossed-i hope the color will fade as gracefully, but purple set the bar quite high on that. we’ll see how it goes.
i miss mage. i’m looking forward to having that kind of weekly face-time with people again someday in the not-too-distant future. i have tons of face-time with people here, to be sure, but work meetings just ain’t the same.
