January: played first gigs with new drummer. February: Recorded full-length album March: waited for it to get mixed April: waited for it to get mixed May: waited for it to get mixed June: waited for it to get mixed July: had total mental breakdown August: attempted to transfer album from the computer it was recorded on to the mixing engineer's computer. Had problems with the PC-to-Mac transfer. Called friend to come over and help ...Still waiting. ( the website, in case you'd like to hear some rough mixes )

ugh.
finding drummers can be ROUGH. they're a dime a dozen until you need one. we're currently scrambling for new practice space, which is horrendous in itself (marching.. no, HIKING across ASU campus when you can't find parking, carrying your gear in 110 degree weather, clad in black truly bites). I'm hoping that once we're in a space that doesn't require us to sit on each other's laps and get evil looks from the classic pianists and trupeteers trying to practice, our sound will fall more into place...
as for demo mixing. gah. i recorded a demo back in *counts* september of 2000, and it still hasn't seen the light of day.
i don't have speakers on my puter *damn the man!* but will check out the website!

oh. hee.. THAT.. naw, i'm healthy, i guess, not any MAJOR problems lately, found out i wasn't CANCEROUS, but beyond that...
i guess my life hath bogged down into monotonous daily adult life throes. work home work home work bandpractice home work home work bandpractice home happy hour nothing nothing nothing work home work home...
oy.
i'm itching to play LIVE to have other people witness our music and such, it's frustrating not, but i guess you have to take baby steps to get there, eh? sure we have songs, but we all still need better amps/monitors and such before we hit the big leagues.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just get out and play. Bands who practice forever and ever can only get "so" good... you have to play a show to improve beyond that plateau.

don't worry about equipment?
i would love to start with little 'acoustical' or 'low fi' shows to start creating a following (like having lj hurts any *chuckle*) as well as get a feeling as to how we play live together...
He'd be playing Yahoo Serious.
