And Sensibilty
a Smallville/Highlander crossover

"Tell me again why we're here," Methos said, one eyebrow raised and his left foot tapping irritably on the floor of Mac's car.  "Then, perhaps, you can explain again why my presence was vital to this evening's success."  He was tuxedo-clad and obviously not happy about it.

I love that this fic is more plot-driven than most crossovers tend to be, and I must admit I am intrigued.

More, please!

I am a firm believer in plot as the main force behind fiction. Thank you so much for commenting!

Good start - you've got me wondering who or what is gatecrashing the auction. You'd think that after hundreds of years the immortals would know better than to talk about the past when there are other people about, but it's common enough in the TV show so I can't say they're out of character.

Ah, but they were talking very quietly. Clark was eavesdropping, and he does have super-hearing. I don't think either of them could be reasonably expected to anticipate that. But yes, they do run their mouths in public a bit on the show, don't they?

Thank you v. much for the review.

Can't wait to read what happens next...I'm guessing either a meteor-mutant or considering Methos' earlier snide remark a poltergeist.
Methos snarking at Duncan is always fun.
I'm guessing Lex' constant biding on stuff Methos wants is a subtle plot device to throw those 2 together.
