the two slashiest movies i've seen in a long time

...and they both rocked.

First up?  Hot Fuzz.  This one's from the same guys who did Shawn of the Dead, the romantic-comedy zombie movie that also rocked big time.  Hot Fuzz is a cop-comedy, with an almost Stepford Wives twist -- it rules, and I swear that even the background music was hinting at slash.

The other one is 3.10 to Yuma.  Which is also so slashy I really don't have words for it.  Russell Crowe's character (Ben Wade) draws three pictures during the course of the movie -- one of a falcon, one of a naked woman (it's v. tasteful, and quite clear that he considers her beautiful), and one of Christian Bale's character (Dan Evans).  Plus, there's some serious flirting going on; Wade spends most of the movie flirting with Evans, they spend a good two hours alone together in the bridal suite of a hotel, and the ending -- yeah.  I'm not going to spoil it for you, and it might just be my slash-warped mind, but I was definitely sitting in the theatre thinking 'OMGtheirloveissocanon'.   Now I have a *serious* yen for some Wade/Evans fic.  Someone should write me some, dammit!
