To everyone who offered me words of advice and comfort during my emotional dilemma, thank you. I cannot fully express my appreciation for your care and concern. I am... still unsure of what to do with this new revelation and the situation at hand, but I have at least somewhat come to terms with them.
My recovery from this bout of melancholy seems well-timed. I woke up feeling considerably better and more sure of myself, only to be greeted by the sight of a thick, unsettling blanket of fog and some very disturbing noises from outside. Despite the low visibility I did manage to make out a few shapes, some seemingly human and the rest seemingly not... just what are these monstrosities?
Whatever they are, they are quite obviously hostile, although they appear to be unable to enter the apartment buildings. I hope everyone stays indoors and remains safe.
