mmmm. some things:
+ i thoroughly enjoy my new deck - perfect for lounging and tanning and reading, although i've done none of that on it yet. but it will be. i really enjoy eating on it, though. for all hours of the day, on a sunshiny summer one, it's just wonderful. makes eating dinner with mom even fun - but so do hamburgers and garlic eggplant.
+ laura, i enjoyed our little chat the other night. or, rather, me talking at you. very nice to have a good listener with positive reinforcement thrown in the mix. thankyou.
+ the VH concert was SO GOOD. i don't remember seeing a session that good for a long time. it was nice to see people, too, even though it was a little much. some of it was really nice....
+ i can't believe how fast time goes by! it seems like we just started ESL school but tomorrow's the last day of week 1 out of 3. jeez. makes me wonder about...time...life....
+ getting really into the whole planning mode - thinking in french, sending out emails to contacts, and talking about it in the flesh the other night helped relieve me a little, and i think more future face-to-face conversations are in the works and that makes me feel better and warm and fuzzy.
- still wondering about potential auschwitz visit. don't want to drag anyone else into this. but my mere going, even if it's by myself, would inevitably have a huge impact on whoever i'm traveling with, i just know it. not sure if i want to go by myself, or if i want to go alone. but i'm fairly sure i want to go. i just have to seriously think about what burden it might put on others. thoughts?
