Shoulders hunched, his entire body curved inward and over the drink he's been nursing for the past several hours, Joe looks like any other drunk in the bar, his eyes half-closed and his body mostly relaxed. To most people, he probably looks like he's just preparing to hang out there all night, drink himself stupid. What he's actually doing is

Logan walked right into Joe, getting ready to give him a mouthful about watching where he was going before he realized just who it was.

"Hey," He said, fixing the other man's coat for him and resting a hand on his shoulder. "Why the rush?"

"Working," Joe answered gruffly, grabbing Logan's shoulder and dragging him along, trying to make the whole encounter look as casual as possible. "Don't call attention to us, man, just walk with me."

The guy hadn't noticed yet that Joe was following him and that was definitely something.

Logan let Joe tug him along, cutting him a curious look as they walked. After all, the last time Logan had mentioned Joe's work, Joe had made it clear Logan wasn't invited to play.

Slipping closer to the older man, he did his best to seem casual.

"If you get hurt, I'm gonna be pissed," Joe muttered as they walked, slipping into the halls that led to the bathrooms. It was quieter back there and he could hear the footsteps of his bounty up ahead, then the soft swishing of the door as he slipped into the restroom.

"I don't even know what we're doing," Logan hissed, following Joe into the bathroom and glancing around.

Joe just shook his head at that, surveying the bathroom in one quick sweep before he reached under his jacket and removed the gun from the holster at the small of his back. Passing it to Logan, he took out the one at his hip as well, then headed carefully and quietly to the closed stall.

Logan held the gun with an unsure look, suddenly wondering if he shouldn't have just walked away. He wasn't exactly a great shot.

Okay, maybe, but not great.

Moving quietly, Joe stood in front of the closed stall door for a moment, then rapped his knuckles against it before raising his gun. There was an annoyed snort from inside, but the locked turned a second later and the moment it did, Joe shoved open the door and slammed into the man inside.

"If he runs, shoot him," he said to Logan, just in case, but the man didn't seem to be putting up much of a fight, even as he cursed and squirmed.

Logan held the gun steady, though there was a look in the stranger's eyes that made it clear he didn't believe Logan would shoot. He was probably right, and Logan felt nervous as he watched Joe and the man wrestle.

Maybe he was right, but Logan didn't have to shoot him as Joe got him under control, the gun jammed against the back of his head. "Hands," he demanded and the guy reluctantly put his hands behind his back, finding himself immediately in the tight, plastic rings Joe used as cuffs. They were better than the ones the Peace Keepers used normally.

"Easy enough," he said when he was done, then grabbed the guy and nodded at Logan. "So you wanna see how a bounty ends?"

"I... Yeah, yeah, okay," Logan said, knowing it wasn't a good idea, but not willing to turn down the offer. After all, he'd been curious about Joe's work since the day the'd met. He wasn't about to turn down a chance to watch the other man work.

"Fuck you, man," the guy growled and Joe shoved him against the wall of the stall once more and shook his head. "Be nice or I'll have to bring you back with pieces me."

Logan's brows shot up at that, remembering the way Joe had spoken to him the first time they'd met. He couldn't help but wondering if he meant it, and when the man started fighting again, Logan took a small step back.

Joe's elbow connected with the man's face before he could do much struggling and a second later he was doubling over, spitting out blood and what looked like a tooth.

"Behave now," he said, grabbing him by the back of the neck and dragging him toward the bathroom door.

Logan looked torn between being shocked and disgusted, but that didn't stop him from following Joe out the door.

"We're gonna go out the back," Joe said, nodding at Logan to follow him. "You wanna keep the gun for now or you want me to take it back?" he asked, still shoving the other guy down the hall and toward the back door.
