"It fits fine," Frank replied, looking around again for his girlfriend.
"The mask keeps slipping down my nose," Joe argued.
"Knot it tighter in the back then," Frank shrugged, still glancing around the room.
Joe did as Frank suggested and knotted the elastic from the mask a little tighter, even as he continued to frown and complain. "What are we even doing at a mask... uh, masked party? We could have enemies here."
"It's called a Masquerade, and even if we had enemies here.... we're masked, remember?" Frank replied, giving Joe a look. He perked up a bit when he saw his girl walk in though, and quickly got to his feet. "Look, just try and unwind a little, okay Joe?"
Joe simply grumbled and slumped down in his seat, wrinkling his old fashioned tux.
After a bit, the younger Hardy ordered himself a soda and unbuttoned a few buttons on his white ruffled shirt. The damn mask was making his nose itch, and he just couldn't bring himself to approach anyone for a dance or even just to talk.
Maybe he should have just stayed home.
