Sitting with the Quidditch Team, Melaka Fray has a semi-permnent grin on her face, that may or may not be bad news for anyone who's hoping the feast doesn't end in a food fight. Occasionally she shoots a threatening smirk down the table at Charles Brigman.

She's being social with her peers. This, some teachers might say, isn't going to end well.

Leonardo sits with the other sixth years, but interacts with them as little as possible while still maintaining a socially acceptable demeanor. Every now and again he looks over at the Ravenclaw table and makes eye contact with his brother Donatello. From across the aisle that separates the two tables, they hold a silent conversation.

We're going to have to interrupt this silent conversation for a serious announcement.

"Potatoes!"

Or... not.

"Hey," Mel calls up to that group. "Stop hogging the potatoes!"

Leo doesn't hear the request for potatoes, what he feels is the sharp elbow to his side from the girl to his right.

"I'm sorry? What? Oh." He picks up the bowl and passes it down the line. "Sorry," he calls down the table.

Off in the distance Don just laughs.

"Geez, Hamato," Mel snarks at him lighthearttedly when the potatoes finally arrive at her empty plate (and she takes well over half of what's left) "pay attention to the needs of your housemates."

"Consider it a lesson in self sufficiency," he replies only a half a beat late.

It's not that Mel couldn't have accio'd the things from where she was, but that she's got into so many fights over the years that teachers have developed the habit of bearing down on her everytime she gets her wand out.

"Consider this a lesson in social responsibility."

'This' in question being her index and middle fingers.

"Winning friends and influencing people, the Fray way," he sighs. "I think we'd all prefer not to lose any more points for profanity at the dinner table, Melaka."

Mel rolls her eyes at him.

"Oh no! Don't take points away from me!"

She loads up the sarcasm in case he needs it spelled out for him.

Leonardo shakes his head at her and turns back towards his meal.

"If you really require a hug that badly, Fray, all you need do is ask."

"Bite me, Yank."

She repeats the gesture with her fingers and turns back to the Quidditch team, who are in general, impressed with neither of them.

As long as Brigman goes down first and hard enough Kirika is mostly all right with a food fight.

Still, it is time to relax a little and eat up.
