back in China...

Well, alrighty.

I'm back in good ole Chiner ( or as some like to call it, F-ing China). My vacation was great for the most part, there were a few low points, but things went well for the most part.

So, I spent the first week with Momma... that was good! Then I went to Daddy's for a few days. I got to go see lots of my cousins and my Gram while I was there, so that was AWESOME! Then I left for AUBURN!

I got to the airport on Friday and after walking 7.5 miles to the baggage claim I found Erica. I was soooo happy to see her, I missed her tons and it was so typical Erica when I saw her. The first thing she said was "That's a cute purse, your hair is so long!" Then I got my hug! She's so silly... but I love her to death and can't wait to be back near her next year. Ok, so we got my HEAVY bags and got in the car to begin our trek to Auburn. We stopped at the Jewelery store and Mikey was like a little girl when I pulled out his pearls and jade... it was so cute! Anyway, so we left there and got some Chik-Fil-A YAY! Then it was on to Auburn. At about the Opelika exit (10ish miles away) I started bouncing in my seat and couldn't stop... I was so excited to be going back to the place that I love the most!

So, we finally get to Auburn and decide that we want to go to Laredo's for dinner. It ended up being Me, LP, Beth, Melinda, Erica, Steven, Keri, Keith, Kristen, and Jonathan. It was a good night... drank a pitcher of Margaritas, saw Corrie Pascoe and Crystal (who I used to work with at Dandyland). After dinner, Steven, Erica, Keith and I went to Stevens and proceded to drink more... we had fun though! I made it back to LP's ok, and went to bed. I got up the next day and went shopping with LP and her mom and then with Erica and Steven's little sister. Then Saturday night was the party. It started out as a great night... it was so Awesome to see everyone, and then the night turned into POOP! I had to find out from a drunken friend that Keri and Jonathan were together... fun times huh? I don't have a problem with them being together, cause all I really want is for him to be happy, but it would have been nice if one of them had told me, especially Keri since Jonathan's a boy and you can't really expect too much from them.

ANYWAY... So I woke up Sunday - not feeling so hot for several reasons, but had to get into San's tiny little car and ride for about 4 hours to Milton to her dad's house. The ride wasn't the best, but the company was the best I could ever ask for and all together it was great! I love my San and am sad that I can't be there for her right now so that she doesn't have a complete mental breakdown. So, we spent Sunday night with San's dad and then got up Monday morning to drive to Foley to see Amy and the new baby!!! Little Matthew is SOOOOOO adorable and such a good baby! We played with him for a few hours and then met my Grandfather for lunch and then played with the baby a little more, met my brother so I could give him his Christmas present, and left to head back to Auburn ( and then on to ATL for San). It was great to get to spend time with San and talk about everything and anything or nothing.

OK, so Tuesday... Singles Awareness Day (sidenote... Valentine's day has always been one of my favorites, I actually tend to go a little overboard with presents for Valentine's, even more so than Christmas... as hard to believe as that is... This year it just kinda came at a crappy time.) was seen with Me and the gals eating at Niffer's ... YUMMY!

Wednesday, I got up and got my driver's license renewed (another sidenote... I am REALLY upset that they changed the licenses and that I don't get a blue one... POO NANNY!) and then had a few meetings with Auburn people on the Global Bridges team... who I work for. Then a bunch of folks went to China Palace for dinner. OK, yes I did pick it... I know I have been living in China, but in my defense they don't have Sesame Chicken in China and that's my favorite!

Thursday, I had lunch with Jonathan at Momma G's... Yummy again! That was good, and then I had coffee with Josh, also good. Then I had to pack all my stuff up so that Steven could take me to Atlanta! He came to pick me up, we went to Atlanta, met up with Erica, and went to a Japanese Steakhouse for dinner... mmmmmmmm. I stayed at Erica's house Thursday night, we got up early Friday morning and Erica and her momma took me to the airport. I only cried a little! I was soooo proud of myself. I was then on a plane for FOREVER. I had to run from one plane to the other in Chicago and then sat on the plane to Beijing for approximately 13 hours. I got home here at about 5 ish on Saturday afternoon, and went to bed at 8... slept for 12 hours and did a whole lotta nothing all day Sunday until we went to dinner at Bellagio's and got my fave- Pineapple and Shrimp!!!! Other than that, its been back to work for me... trying to pass these last 3 months as quickly as I can so that I can come back to everyone and everything that I love and miss.

I am glad I got to see everyone that I did while I was home, but there are a few people that I thought I'd get to see but didn't. I hope you know that I'm really sad that I didn't get to see you and that I miss you and can't wait to see you when I get back!

Well, that's it for now... later kiddos!!

Love and Sunshine,

Erin
