I'm now officially half way through with my finals. It feels good to say that. I just have my World Civ one tomorrow afternoon and then Social Issues Thursday night. I'm anticipating that both will be easier than the other finals, but I'm still going to study a lot.
Also, as a weird observation, there's some plant or flower that's starting to bloom all around campus that smells like a combination of bleach and corn. It's freaking weird. It seriously smells like someone dumped a ton of corn into a bucket of bleach (well, at least how I imagine it would smell like, since I've never smelled it before, haha). It makes me nauseous whenever I'm outside.
Anyway, my anxiety is focused more now on the NC & IN primaries. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my man Obama, of course. =) Also, I'm so proud of myself in that I was finally able to convince my 65 year old grandmother, who's always been a giant fan/supporter of the Clintons (especially Hillary) and she's a die hard feminist, to now support Obama. We've been discussing it for a while. I was so pleasantly surprised to have her tell me that Obama would be the right person to be president now. Of course, we already had our primary in NJ on "Super Tuesday", but that's not important now. Also, my sister (who's 17 and therefore can't vote yet) is supporting & is really interested in Obama. She did this on her own, too. I'm pretty shocked because she, unlike myself, never showed any interest in politics/current events/the news, etc, so I'm pretty proud of her (not just for supporting Obama, but for taking an interest in politics). My father and his entire side of the family, of course, are completely opposed to both Obama and Clinton. They're all super conservative and pretty racist & misogynist, so it's not like I expected any better. They're entitled to their own opinions, though, which I respect, no matter how much I disagree with them.
Enough of my ramblings. I have to go anxiously watch MSNBC/CNN study for World Civ.
