Open Water Swim
If every open water swim went like yesterday's, I'd be ecstatic. Although I'm aware that not every race will be wetsuit legal, many races will have waves bigger than 120+ people, and the water will not always be placid as Lake Travis was in the morning.
With that said, having had a couple of pathetic sprint swim performances, I was anxious and nervous to see how this would go.
Swim: 1.2 miles (or 7 orange buoys out, turnaround at the yellow buoy, 7 orange buoys back)
Water Temp: 73/74F
Time: 38:45 (~2:00/100m) 32/81 finishers
Very pleased to be under 40minutes. The clock read 51 minutes coming out of the water. Thus after a fairly quick start after the 800m group, I figured my finish was 45-48 minutes.
