"I don't think I can fly; my spirit knows it can."

That quote actually just came from WWE Friday Night Smackdown -- Jeff Hardy. It really struck a chord though because it's so very true. Our spirit knows the great things we're capable of, it's our egos that keep us tied down and try to hold us back. We have to learn to stop trusting our fear driven egos and start trusting in our spirits, who know what we're here for, who know where we come from, and who are confident in everything they do because they know we're part of the great picture and we don't need to KNOW why we're here to make a difference. :)

So, today was a crazy day for traffic. I saw a t-bone accident at the Wawa just down the road, a care on fire on I95 (and the grass around it also on fire), and then when I got back from getting my phone fixed at Sprint, there was a large service truck (w/ a flatbed) jackknifed in the middle of the road. I decided to spend the rest of my day indoors to avoid any other traffic/accident drama. = |  I had a great day today and I'm very excited about my upcoming trip. I have a lot to do before then, but I'm glad that it's finally here. Feels like I've been waiting forever to reunite with my babe. So, I'm about to head to bed because we're getting up at 4am-5amish to drive for 5 hrs, up to Pennsylvania, in order to get my dad's new Blue Crowned Conure. Yes, that means we're gonna have 2 birds in the household (and if my mom give us Chloette to take up here with us when we head back to VA from TX--that would make 3 birds!). I love my Jack, but he can be a noisy turd sometimes. He he. Oh female wrestlers on WWE, you skanky whores with great abs. I love it! Well, that's it for now.

Days to reunion with my babe: 4 days!!!!

Devotional today:

The Lord said to Samuel, How Long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? - 1 SAMUEL 16:1 AMP//////////How Long?

At God's direction, Samuel had declared Saul to be the king of Israel. Then Samuel did his best to help Saul be a good king. Unfortunately, Saul disobeyed God, and God eventually rejected him as the king. Samuel was devastated and disappointed. But as Samuel was nursing his wounded heart, God asked him how long he was going to mourn over Saul.

Maybe you've invested a lot of time, effort, money, emotion, and energy in a relationship; you did your best to make it work out. But for some reason, it failed, and you feel robbed. Perhaps God is asking you a similar question today: "How long are you going to mourn over your broken dreams?" When we focus on our disappointments, we stop God from bringing fresh, new blessings into our lives.
