Once again time for a chapter of the Atwoods! This time, I am already partway done with chapter 10, so hopefully that'll help get the next chapter out in a more timely fashion. Anyway, I hope some of you are still around to read this! :P

But I definitely feel for Ellie too. I do think it shows how much she does care for Joey, as a friend as well as more than that - she knew it would likely end their friendship but she couldn't keep lying to her best friend anymore. Hah, I promise Jared won't slap anyone, but slapping sense into people IS his specialty! :P And yeah, I was trying to decide how much of Shaun's perspective to go into - Ellie probably won't be talking to him for a long time, and I'm not sure about Joey yet, and those two are my main POV characters. Hmm.
Hehe, I did feel a bit evil getting close to the band getting back together and then sort of irreparably shattering it :P I hate to say it but the aim is sort of to totally isolate Joey to the point that she has to confront her issues...
Yeah, things with Marco are going to be discussed next chapter for sure, I've already written part of that. I'm glad you appreciated Jared's take on that! I think Jared's always been the one to tell Joey things she doesn't want to hear, but that are the truth.
I'm so glad you loved it, that makes me so happy! <3
And yes! The dream! If you remember way back in the first chapter of this generation (which was more than a full year ago so I can't blame you if you don't) young Joey had a lot of nightmares right after her mom died. I've always thought of them coming and going depending on how good her general mental health is at the time. She's got a lot of deep-rooted issues surrounding her mother's death (and now like you noticed, her father as well) and I'm hoping to keep getting at those through nightmares!
Thanks so much for the lovely long comment <3 I looked forward to it from the moment I posted the chapter haha!
