The most amazing day.

Jul 02, 2006 14:39

The time is 2:39 p.m on July 2nd of 2006. The place is Jeff and Amber's home. The most amazing thing is happening: absolutely nothing. Not even my head is stirring. I am sitting outside listening to the White Sox/Cubs game, and thinking about returning home to start work this next week. The best thing is that I really don't care that my father and mother are here in the same place. Or that everyone is crabby from working in the yard all day yesterday and today. I have been working hard too. I can smile and laugh; because all the craziness that seems to be going on right now can't touch me. I marked this oasis of time so I would not forget what it feels like to detach and choose to be quiet inside and out. Quiet yet effective. Piece.

Word of the Day:

depredation: N. The act of pillaging and plunder.

In a sentence: Depredation, unlike opportunity has become a regular house guest.
