I've stopped treating the wart colony. You know that. For a while I was trying to treat The Mother Wart only but I had a hard time identifying which one she was so actually I was treating 5 or so warts that were close to the spot where I thought The Mother Wart might be.
I was thinking this morning. The Mother Wart has been with me through student teaching, college graduation and a series of post-college temp jobs. The Mother Wart has seen Joshua's and my relationship in its entirety. I've had 5 "real" jobs, 2 temp jobs and walked dogs all summer with The Mother Wart and her offspring. At last count I have at least 26 plantar warts on the ball of my right foot and 1 wart on the index finger on my left hand. At the end of the month, I'm leaving my old ladies and moving to Portland, ME to start grad school. If I have to live through another stage of my life with this little bastards bringing me down, I might kill someone.
So, I've decided, next week I'm going on vacation with 36 of my closest Drummonds, but after that, I'm going to try a new technique. Duct tape. My little sister would appreciate it if you could over enunciate the 'T' in ducT tape.
