I think it's finally gonna hatch! Actually, I still don't know what's inside, but I'm pretty excited!

Stranger things have come out of the eggs here. I've stopped trying to puzzle it out, honestly. Have done so since my dog pokemon hatched.

Yeah, logic doesn't seem to be this place's strong suit. Still, I always thought that ghosts were born from, y'know... vengeful spirits. Angry slighted dead people. That kind of thing.

Not in Johto. [He says this dryly.] It's best to accept it and focus on other things--like training. Much of this world doesn't make sense, and it'll just confuse you if you dwell on it.

Yeah... the longer and longer I'm here, the more that seems to be true. I guess it's the whole video game thing. Doesn't stop it from being really, really weird at times, though.

Not especially. I played it once, when I was a lot younger... but it was actually pretty different from Johto.

Well... I'm pretty sure it was set somewhere different, to begin with. Different cities and Gym Leaders and stuff like that. And that there were a lot fewer Pokémon. You couldn't breed them, either.

... In comparison, Johto seems a lot more filled out.
