The other line rang: once, twice, three times, finally dropping him into voice mail after the fourth. Reclining against the couch, Phoenix sighed and hit ‘end,’ wondering if it was even worth the effort. He didn’t know whether Edgeworth was already on his way to France or simply ignoring his call, though the latter seemed more likely; Phoenix had never been on a plane himself, but he recalled the use of cell phones being prohibited. If Edgeworth were in the air, the call would have gone straight to voice mail.
With another sigh, Phoenix lifted his phone to eye level and aimlessly examined it. There was one number he had stored in his phone book that he rarely, if ever (he honestly had no idea), called and he had a feeling its owner would be able to give him the information he sought. He wasn’t sure how useful it would be if Edgeworth didn’t want to see him, but he figured it was worth a shot. It usually was.
Several minutes passed before he finally made up his mind. Taking a deep breath, he scrolled through his stored numbers, hit ‘send’ when the correct one was highlighted, and held the phone to his ear, still debating whether or not it was a good idea even as the phone rang.
He supposed he would find out soon enough.
((OOC: Fel - I know Gumshoe and Edgeworth haven't had their conversation yet, but Tif told me the important information he would need to answer Phoenix's questions. ;D Edgeworth's flight to Paris leaves at 11:15AM Friday on flight 446 and arrives in Paris on Saturday, 8:30AM Paris time (which would be Friday, 11:30PM California time). He'd tell Gumshoe that he'd be gone for an indeterminate amount of time and he's already made the necessary arrangements at the prosecutor's office. ...I think that's it.
Damn. I made a lot of posts today. ...You know, I was supposed to go to bed hours ago, but I was like--DAMN. I need to make a post for Gumshoe! And dragged myself out of bed just for you~. *dies*))
